Position Overview
Job Description
I. Essential Duties:
Communicate with Cut Table Operators to receive order information needed to setup cut orders
Apply the appropriate edge materials as needed, whether it be surging with yarn, binding, taping, etc.
Print rug identification labels and iron onto the of each rug
Check for quality issues with rugs before sending to the packout area
Work in the packout area to rollup rugs onto cores or stack on pallets and wrap in plastic
ยท Print shipping labels to apply to outside of packaging
Communicate with Lift Truck Operator or drive the lift truck to scan and load packages onto the trailer for shipping
Work on R&D projects as needed to support the department
Perform job duties inside and outside of the Rugs Department as needed to support plant operations
II. Non-Essential Duties:
General housekeeping duties
Communication well with management to address departmental needs
Maintain the integrity and security of an array of sensitive and technical tools
Perform job duties in a safe manner
Work night, weekends and holidays when required to meet customer orders
Actively participate in various committees
III. Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent
Must have good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Must be able to work independently, without close supervisor
Computer skills with current software experience
Previous experience as Finishing Operator in Rugs Department preferred
LTO Certification recommended but not required
Work Shift
8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to out-punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts PM
