Production Planning / Warehouse Manager

Position Overview

Responsible for the Production Scheduling Department as well as the plant Warehouse. Maintains compliance to all safety, quality, production, waste, absenteeism, turnover, labor cost, manning, and housekeeping standards necessary to meet the departmental requirements. Interacts directly with other department managers and plant the manager in support of scheduling, and throughput improvement objectives in the manufacturing process. Responsible for all necessary forecasting, planning, assigning, reporting, and follow-up for all departmental functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with Central Scheduling and Yarn Planning to ensure plant schedule meets customer needs.

  • Manages automation schedules and manual schedules throughout the plant.

  • Coordinates with site managers on customer needs and changes to the schedule. Ensures site managers are kept abreast of production requirements and needs.

  • Manages production scheduling department employees and staff.

  • Maintains inventory levels, including resin, flake, additives, and concentrates to ensure adequate supply to meet customer needs.

  • Manages standard work and SMS system for production scheduling.

  • Ensures production flows through departments through capacity planning.

  • Maintains automation tables and data and evaluates periodically to ensure critical data is up to date for automation deliveries.

  • Leads warehouse supervisor and staff to ensure daily and weekly objectives are met safely and on time . One supervisor and 31 associates across 4 shifts on a 7-day work schedule.

  • Responsible for remote warehouse YG, coordinating people and WIP to ensure material flows properly between plants.

  • Maintain and verify the accuracy of all inventory levels and ensure transactional accuracy to protect the integrity of our financial statements and ability to service the customer.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management

  • 3 years experience in Warehouse management, Scheduling/Planning, or manufacturing leadership

  • Strong computer skills

  • Must be comfortable with established and emerging technologies

  • Strong communication skills

  • Must be able to think critically and apply best-fit solutions to multiple scenarios

Work Shift

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
