Job Title
Quality Process Engineer
Position Overview
The Quality Process Engineer statistically monitors quality, implements improvements, and troubleshoots processes & equipment for the Extrusion, Cabling and Heatset Departments.
Responsibilities:
Lead and participate in Internal SMS Audits
Participate in External SMS Audits
Work with all Departments to reduce Nonconforming Product
Work with yarn vendors and equipment suppliers to ensure products meet expectations
Work with yarn customers to resolve off quality issues
Coach Trainers/QCs/Mentors using quality data to drive improvements
Improve Standard Work focusing on Safety, Quality and Productivity
Drive root cause analysis and preventive measures for Off Quality
Participates in customer feedback and customer visits
Works with the Quality Clerk in the Lab to maintain equipment (calibrations)
Serve as a backup to the Quality Clerk
Participates in SPC activities as a user of Infinity software and Minitab
Modifies and develop procedures in SMS
Attend SPC, Tier III, and any additional meetings as requested
Assist Extrusion/Cabling/Heatset meetings as requested
Track and monitor all MOCs within the Facility
Track and monitor all Corrective Actions within the Facility
Work with Yarn Technical to evaluate new/existing yarn systems
Assist the Quality Manager, as needed

Requirements
Four (4) year Engineering degree required
Strong communication skills (written and oral)
Six Sigma Black Belt trained or willingness to complete training
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Pivot Tables etc.)
Previous manufacturing experience (preferred)
Work Shift
8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
