Senior Human Resources Manager

Position Overview

The Sr. HR Manager will work in partnership with all levels of the Aiken, SC fibers manufacturing facility through leadership of associate initiatives, talent management, and support of key facility strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will continually lead the organization for a better associate experience and will explore all avenues to enhance diversity, equality, and inclusion within its culture.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop people and culture strategy for facility.

  • Provide coaching and insight to Plant leadership team.

  • Create staffing and succession plans.

  • Create development plans for new engineers, supervisors, etc.

  • Work with HR Manager and HR staff to create innovative recruiting methods.

  • Guide / help plant leadership team on developing improved retention model/method/ideas.

  • Partner with plant manager on community engagement opportunities.

  • Work with critical partners to develop skill improvement models with local colleges and universities.

  • Define and execute HR strategies that fully support the company’s objectives as well as assist/facilitate other departments' objectives.

  • Partners with Total Rewards, Risk Management, and Talent Acquisition to support business objectives.

Position Requirements:

  • BA/BS Degree

  • 5+ years of HR leadership experience

  • General business & employment law acumen

  • Ability to operate successfully within a team

  • Ability to manage and resolve conflict

  • Ability to coach peers or others

  • Ability to influence/communicate across the entire workforce

Work Shift

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
