Plant 65 | Process Engineer

Position Overview

The purpose of the Sr. Process/Process Engineer position is to effectively ensure safety, productivity, quality, and cost initiatives are executed. This position supports Lean initiatives and demonstrates disciplined execution of Standard Work to ensure continuous improvement for a department of 150 + employees. Responsibilities:

• Creates, revises, and approves the process specification for a manufacturing area and implements the process specification system described in the process specification manual.

• Ensures document control of manufacturing process specifications. - Responsible for review and revisions of the SOP.

• Implements procedures described in SOPs, and maintains quality records as prescribed in SOPs.

• Innovate and learn continuously which includes benchmarking other facilities. - Investigates safety/quality/environmental/performance root causes, and responds to corrective action requests and preventative action requests. - Performs internal audits as requested.

• Practice leadership standard work which includes leadership by coaching and developing others.

• Coordinates and implements process improvement plans in the department. -

• Fills-in in absence of the department manager.

  Qualifications:

• 4 year engineering degree

• Experience in manufacturing

• Preferred experience with extrusion process engineering

Work Shift

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
