Electrical Maintenance Supervisor
Position Overview
Shaw Industries is looking for an Electrical Supervisor to oversee a team of Reliability Electricians as well as planning & scheduling work orders as they pertain to electrical aspects of production process at Plant 70/86 in Bainbridge, GA. Additionally, the E lectrical S upervisor shall work in tandem with the Mechan ical Supervisor to support the production departments as well as improve overall equipment reliability .

Responsibilities:
Oversees the day-to-day activities of plant Reliability Electricians (about 10 direct reports).
Works with all Maintenance Department and Safety Department staff to ensure that all team personnel, including themselves, performs duties using safe work methods. This includes: providing and wearing PPE, compliance with Lockout/ Tagout , Hot Work, and Line Breaking procedures; attending Safety Committee Meetings, following established guidelines, and reporting all unsafe acts or conditions to Supervisor or Manager .
Manages and maintains the Sharp CMMS System work orders to include equipment PM’s, annual environmental items, equipment lists, etc. Conducts follow-up and ensures adherence of prescribed schedules and standards . Provides training to users as necessary.
Conducts weekly work order priority meetings to ensure work is scheduled for timely execution and in conjunction with the operating area and available maintenance resources.
Ensures prioritization process is in place for all open work orders, by craft identification (specific craft and hours required ), job scope, and dates . Ensures timely execution, completion, and closure of work orders as they pertain to mechanical aspects of machinery and equipment.
Document and recommend discipline for hourly employees and develop behavior and performance improvement plans. Communicate any information concerning disciplinary action pertaining to safety violations.
Develops detailed mechanical job plans that align with Safety, Operations, and Production that are cost effective and can be executed in a timely manner .
Works with personnel in identifying necessary materials required for job performance and ensures those materials are pre-staged prior to execution when applicable.
Submits requisitions for parts, tools and materials and requests necessary rental equipment for job support. Work with supply room to ensure plant critical spare parts are in supply.
Works with and assists Maintenance Team Members in identification of required PM’s , both new and/or enhanced.
Maintains and manages facility work order backlog, reporting on execution failures and delays to management team.
Benchmarks and works with other facilities in developing standardized job procedures and maintenance processes where applicable.
Assist in troubleshooting faulty plant equipment when necessary.
Other Responsibilities:
Must be willing to walk, stand, bend, stoop, squat, lift objects, ascend/descend stairs and reach as required .
Must be available for call-in duty as needed. Must be willing to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required .
Willingness to complete plant-specific and job specific trainings as it pertains to planning, scheduling, software, safety, human resources, quality, and EHS trainings .
May perform other duties as required or assigned by the Plant Engineer or Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required
2 or 4 year Mechanical/Electrical technology degree from a recognized university or college preferred.
3 to 5+ years experience in mechanical and/or electrical systems
Prior experience working with CMMS Work Order systems; Preferably Sharp. Hold a good understanding of the role it played in Total Process Reliability.
Prior experience working in a maintenance role in a manufacturing setting, preferably with mechanic and/or electrician assignments in order to assess maintenance skill sets of others.
Other Preferences:
Ability to gain knowledge of processes, software, people, and equipment. Must be able to build strong working relationships with team members.
Satisfactory work record, including attendance, leadership, problem solving, troubleshooting, and initiative.
Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels in the facility as well as outside vendors.
Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
Ability to make decisions based upon inputs provided by supervisors, subordinates, and peers to be consistent with departmental and company goals.
Demonstrated work experience in reading blueprints, mechanical sketches, and mathematical computations.
