Position Overview

Regional Sales Manager

Position Overview: The role of the Regional Manager is to develop/facilitate the continued growth of each Contract Sales Specialist in the region. The responsibilities range from leading, motivating, training, and directing the team to accomplish their territory, regional and divisional goals. A key responsibility of the RSM is the implementation, development, and management of all systems and programs set forth by the Contract Division. This RSM role will be responsible for managing both Shaw Contract Group and Patcraft brands.


  • Recruit, train and manage professional sales team calling on designers, end users

  • Work closely with China dealer sales teams, branch managers and team managers

  • Coordinate team selling efforts with strategic account teams, dealer teams, Shaw local sales teams

  • Achieve Team sales goals/targets

  • Facilitate communication and teamwork throughout the sales team and division

  • Must have a clear understanding of Shaw Industries' internal/external Procedures to help address any problems that arise

  • Must set the pace and high level of expectations through goals and objectives with sales team. Must set the direction for the team on a constant basis and consistently measure the results.

  • Provide sales budget analysis and adjust account assignments as needed

  • Identify new project opportunities by reviewing Dodge reports and assign sales leads

  • Should allocate appropriate time to travel with each sales person and provide coaching and feedback.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Be able to conduct or assist with presentations to educate end-users, architects, designers, etc.

  • Analyze sales statistics and formulate goals for the sales force as well as the company

  • Recruit, develop and retain quality sales people

  • Entertain clients as needed through lunches or dinners

Physical Requirements: You must be physically able to execute the following tasks:

  • Operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license during the term of your employment;

  • Travel in an airplane for long distances overseas; and

  • Carry product samples and lift up to 30 to 50 pounds of weight.

Other Requirements: In addition to the physical requirements provided above, you shall also ensure the following, during the term of your employment with the Company:

  • Have a valid passport;

  • Possess good organization skills and be able to set business goals and budgets and measure the results;

  • Maintain a professional dress code; and

  • Operate a calculator, personal computer, cellular phone, facsimile machine and fax machine.

Training Requirements: The Company expects that you are experienced in sales, familiar with international business and possess reasonable knowledgeable of the industry manufacturing processes and products.

  • You must wear a seat belt when operating a motor vehicle;

  • You must be aware of and abide by the laws of China as well as all countries abroad to which you may be required to travel to;

  • You must use caution when lifting samples to prevent pulling/straining a back muscle;

  • You must use all equipment as directed by manufacturer; and

  • You must abide by all Company safety rules & regulations.
