As a Product Consultant for our customer solutions platforms, you contribute to the success of Shaw Industries by developing and delivering best-in-class digital training, becoming the expert and ambassador of Shaw’s platforms, creating compelling content that drives results, and leveraging cutting edge tools and technology to elevate platform awareness, increase product knowledge and drive adoption.

A creative and analytic, this person must be a confident communicator over digital mediums and use additional digital tools to evaluate impact through data analysis and reporting metrics.

This position is highly visible across the enterprise and requires continuous collaboration across multiple departments in order to contribute to the digital training strategy that grows our people, our business and our brands.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver digital training to our retailers and internal field sales team with the goal of getting them empowered and knowledgeable to leverage our internal systems and tools (IE: ShawNow, ShawNow app).

  • Must be comfortable and confident speaking on-camera, have the ability to lead training sessions to large audiences over digital platforms, and be a dynamic, engaging presenter.

  • Continually monitor and measure impact and results from training programs in order to continuously improve solutions and service. Follow up with customers to ensure desired results were achieved. Track and report progress of training initiatives to stakeholders.

  • Assess business stakeholder’s needs in order to develop and implement training to address those needs and meet business objectives.

  • Lead all efforts (including communication, marketing, logistics, data analytics, etc.) of assigned program(s).

  • Collaborate with customer service, marketing, and channel leadership to create tailored training content and scripts for target audience (ie: RSA, dealer, internal field sales, etc.).

  • Design and deliver monthly reporting that tracks impact through engagement metrics (via Mailchimp, ShawNow, Showpad, Salesforce) and analyzes ROI by defined metrics (orders entered). Ability to create compelling and visually appealing dashboards that display this data accordingly.

  • Create tools, materials, activities, and curriculum to assist clients with the execution and follow-through on training; e.g, handouts, knowledge checks, survey's, digital presentations.

  • Travel with local field sales staff or to local floor covering retail stores as needed to understand competitive products, evaluate training gaps, and to better understand market conditions.

  • Innovate on traditional training methods, leveraging product-based tests, quizzes, incentive-based learning, e-learning, etc... to drive retention and application of knowledge.

  • Align with marketing to drive brand consistency through all activities and interactions of respective segments.

  • Prepare and communicate periodic sales reports outlining actual sales information and goals, competitive market conditions, and engagement impact, and product needs.

  • Understand marketed programs and maintain a library of video content to promote and train the field and our retailers on products.

  • Monitor the customer community and communicate any issues or recommendations.

  • Must have a deep knowledge of specific product offerings.

    Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, sales, or related field required

  • 3+ years hands-on experience in a marketing, journalism, communications, or training function.

  • Exceptional communicator with the ability to teach and influence.

  • The ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.

  • Understanding of digital tools and enablement technologies that help support business outcomes.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as needed by business partners

  • Ability to work overtime or weekends as required by business needs.

    Preferred Skills

  • Experience on Adobe platforms (specifically, Adobe Premier) preferred.
