Digital Assets Manager - Shaw Commercial Marketing

Position Overview

The Digital Asset Manager will provide leadership and be responsible for management of quality digital assets including product images, video, audio and other digital assets required to support commercial digital platforms. This position manages the complete lifecycle of digital assets as established and approved by the commercial brands. In addition, this position maintains a calibrated color environment to color check all assets, creates interactive patterns for interactive room scene renderings and manages relationships with outside vendors.

What you'll be doing::

  • Create flooring patterns within Photoshop and interactive room scene renderings in digital environment

  • Create room scene shadows for interactive room scenes

  • Create, test and troubleshoot interactive room scene renderings using proprietary rendering software

  • Work with rendered assets to utilize our digital imagery, which includes understanding layered files and virtual room assets.

  • Photograph special events and projects

  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of digital assets from delivery to scanning to storage within the digital asset management platform, including management of outside vendors

  • Manage the digital asset platform to be utilized for storing and distributing digital assets across multiple channels.

  • Define, maintain and communicate quality standards and measure these standards

  • Stay current on industry standards and ensure compliance within all digital platforms

  • Recommend improvements and usage of new technologies to keep platforms innovative

  • Perform quality assurance of vendor-supplied assets to ensure specifications for intended use (quality, color, format, resolutions, etc.)

  • Build and maintain relationships with internal digital asset and rendering departments for extensive collaboration and transparency.

  • Utilize the digital asset platform (currently Adobe Scene7) to ensure that multiple internal associates and external clients can leverage the same pool of assets for consistency.

  • Contribute to the daily upkeep, quality and sanitization of the asset platform (metadata population, version tracking, expired file deletion, tag management, etc.)

  • Project management skills are required to help facilitate the expectations of asset timelines. Multiple projects and platforms utilize this data, so life cycle and taxonomy of assets is required. Effective communications skills with the digital team and marketing directors is key.

Position's required credentials and experience:​

  • 2-5 years experience with a Digital Asset Management system preferred

  • Proven leadership abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop

  • Superior knowledge of digital file formats

  • Photography/design background. Creative skills including understanding colors, textures and aesthetics of product photography

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills

  • High level of computer competency for MAC operating system

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret image quality, resolution and understanding of implications to digital platform performance (websites, email campaigns, social postings, etc)

Preferred credentials and experience:​

  • Visual Arts or Graphic Design bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Photography and Adobe Lightroom experience

  • Tricycle technology a plus

  • Excellent multitasking and time management skills

  • Web-based experience including FTP and HTML

  • Team attitude and willingness to grow

  • Detail-oriented with a strong technical aptitude

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills demonstrating tenacity

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
