Position Overview:
StudioOne is a connected design experience offering comprehensive design services to our customers through an integrated suite of digital tools and one-on-one resources aligned to inspire and assist the customer throughout their design process. The StudioOne Interior Design Specialist will work on a team of creative designers, alongside digital and technical resources and ma rketing leaders , to provide a personalized and streamlined customer experience through one-on-one connection to clients . They will partner with our sales team and customers to explore and recommend products, offer ideas and help them to visualize them in their space by developing and presenting digital presentation packages. Please note this is a hybrid position based in Cartersville, GA at our Create Center.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
One-on-one Customer Interactions
Design Consultation Services - Concept with flooring application ideas- Make product and color recommendations , including soft and hard surface flooring products, and could include Benjamin Moore paints and other coordinating accessories.
Develop digital palette boards and presentations highlighting your product recommendations, coordinates and other personalized solutions based on the client’s design needs and scope of their project.
Create segment specific client packages and presentations for product recommendations for floors, walls and accessories. Trend research and guidance on shifts in each segment. Use floor plans as basis for design- showing how to install and creatively utilize product within a space .
Create Floor plan application ideas for clients by communicating with them about requirements for performance, space, etc.
Partner with our StudioOne Visualization team to manage and direct 2D and 3D renderings , includ ing art direction/furniture placement selection, etc., to be packaged in a customer facing d igital presentation.
Create storyboards to be shared with clients to communicate vision of design concepts.
Create physical and digital presentation boards or trays based on color palette, concept or segment for individual clients, AM or for use on the website.
Lead trend/consumer-driver conversations with customers in partnership with account managers.
Marketing and Design Responsibilities
Creative Direction - Work with the product development team and marketing to give creative direction for product photography and renderings to be used on our website , social media and in product marketing. All furniture, flooring, finish selection with segment direction and color palette development.
Create installation thought starters and coordinating style recommendations for the Shaw Contract website as new products are launched for both hard and soft surfaces.
Work closely with the digital department to produce and guide new innovat iv e digital tools based on their knowledge of how an Interior Designer works and the tools they need to work more efficiently.
Assist with creative content to share on social media based on the coordinating palette and designs put together.
Through partnership with other commercial finish providers, create segment related interactive room scenes to be viewed on website or social media connection products, specs, manufacturers, etc.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
Advanced knowledge of the Interior Design process, including an understanding of how to read a construction document set , most specifically understanding flooring design and concept development that coordinates with other finishes and architectural elements
Knowledge of current industry trends and current market segments relevant in the commercial market
Organized and able to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously , and ability to stay calm under pressure
Possess good time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
Creative proficiency with supporting and recommending our product portfolio
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate full commitment to a collaborative team environment and initiatives
Meet and exceed internal or external customer expectations
Required Education and Training:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design , Interior Architecture or Architecture
Recent Commercial interior design experience
Proficiency with graphics software: Sketch up, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD and Revit
