Shaw’s Commercial Manufacturing Division has a unique opportunity for an internship position, focusing on building capability through people, systems, processes, and design to meet Shaw’s business outcomes. We are looking for an individual with strong interpersonal skills, a desire to help others, and a drive to work independently. In addition, this position is for students with an interest in Human Resources, Employment Law, Organizational Design, and Employee Relations. We feel that this experience should benefit you, as much as it does our company. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Gain an understanding of the goals and initiatives of the Commercial Manufacturing team to best support business and people's needs.

  • Have a basic understanding of employee relations and be able to offer suggestions to improve the work environment for Shaw associates.

  • Collect and analyze new hire, turnover, and engagement data and recommend best practices.

  • Assist with a broad range of highly complex administrative support.

  • Provide on-site support for facilitation activities; facilitate some group activities under supervision.

  • Update current data reporting into reports that can be used for data analytics, dashboards, etc.

  • Manage projects assigned by HR Supervisor

Position Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program focusing on human resources, industrial psychology, or business management.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Work Shift

8 hour, day shift
