Part Time Tufting Creeler Burn-In/Warping - 2nd Shift Creeler
Position Overview
Position Overview:
Responsible for burning in beams or splicing beams during a beam change as well as creeling yarn in order to keep machines in operation in Tufting and Warping.
Responsibilities:
Assist in any job depending on the need of the department
Required to burn in 7 beams per hour
Assist stripping big & mini beams as needed
Assist Tufting Operators with threading tufting machines, ensuring no crossed ends
Clean machines, sweep, and perform ATD as needed
Doff rolls as needed
Assist Tufting Operator with mending and inspection of carpet
Report to management any quality and safety problems, and potential problems that are encountered while performing the job
Run Tufting machine as requested
At end of week shut down, leave 80’ or more on roll up.
Responsible for all waste removal from tufting machine and Set Up Tech area and general upkeep and cleaning of the tufting area.
Inspect hoppers for burrs before picking up waste and cutting beams
Pick up trash and take to compactor.
Check & replenish all water coolers in the department
Take yarn requisitions to Warping Clerk
Responsible for creeling yarn in order to keep machines in operation
Assist with backing changes
Position Requirements:
Ability to carry out written and oral instructions
Ability to carry up to 25lbs
Must be able to work 4-hour shifts
Must be able to work in a team environment
Work Shift
8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts PM
