Job Title

ATY & Needlepunch Supervisor | Night Shift | D Shift (8 PM to 8 AM)

Position Overview

Overview:

Provide leadership in day-to-day operations within both departments, with key metrics (i.e. safety, quality, waste, productivity, cost reductions) in mind. Responsible for communicating, developing, and consistently managing associates within these departments and supporting departments

Responsibilities:

• Lead by ensuring appropriate training and resources are available to execute and sustain deliverables applicable to the department and facility by working with and assisting associates within the department and supporting departments.

• Drive departmental performance utilizing tools such as: Standard Work, 5S, Root Cause Analysis, USF2, Infinity, Splunk, HUD, and Ignition.

• Effectively write, update, and implement procedures and systems to provide a successful departmental environment. Work with Department Manager, Process Engineer, Multicraft technicians and Plant Leadership.

• Fulfill administrative responsibilities (Policies, WorkForce, Attendance, Corrective Discipline, Correspondence, Production Entries, Inventory, etc.) by working with Salary & Hourly Teammates, Payroll, Human Resources, and IS.

• Utilize audit processes for continuous improvement efforts by coordinating with other members of Plant Leadership.

• Prepare shift for job assignments, production scheduling, projects, and standard work by working with Hourly Teammates, Off-Going/On-coming Supervisor, and Maintenance teams.

• Ensure timely and accurate completion of shift reports and Tier numbers.

• Supervisors should ensure that equipment is running to Standard. If a piece of equipment is not able to run to standard it is noted on the process standard, front and back. If a piece of equipment is not able to run to standard and is posing a safety threat, the equipment should be shut down immediately. The Process Engineer and Department Manager are to be notified of these scenarios.

• In the event the plant is shut-down, the supervisor on duty will be responsible for verifying that the power has been turned off for all equipment. The Multicraft Technician on shift should accompany the Supervisor during this process.

• Complete Advanced Safety Audits as required by management.

• The Supervisor is responsible for completing their own standard work and Gemba walks, as well as auditing those of their PCTs.

Maintain Management Commitment to the SMS System by:

• Promoting the Quality Improvement Team Process and PRIDE Process emphasizing customer/supplier relationships and teamwork.

• Supporting and promoting SMS policies and initiatives.

• Assisting employees in filling out Process Improvement (P.I.) forms when requested.

• Supporting and promoting Shaw CARES initiative

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED

• Previous Lead/Fill-in Supervisor or Supervisor experience in manufacturing within the past 5 years required.

Preferred:

• 1+ years previous supervisory experience preferred

12 Hr rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Act Calendar, shift starts PM, days change only
