Material Handler - B Shift - 12 Hour Nights
Purpose / Scope
The basic responsibilities of a Primary Extrusion Material Handler are to transport raw materials finished product and waste to their designated locations, assist with processing bad packages and maintaining housekeeping. This is accomplished by performing all of the “Essential Duties” listed below.
The primary Extrusion Department is responsible for the maintenance of this procedure.
A. Operating Center Ride Truck
B. Operating Fork Lift Truck
C. Weighing Yarn Racks and Entering Weight into USF
D. Burning Off Bad Packages
E. Regrinding Bad Packages
F. Material Handler Housekeeping
A. Report unsafe equipment, machinery, or conditions to supervisor immediately
B. Comply with Corporate Attendance Policy
C. Perform all job duties in a safe manner
D. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
A. Able to pass an eye exam
B. Able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and/or squat for up to 11 hours of a 12-hour shift.
C. Able to push yarn racks weighing as much as 1000 – 1100 lbs.
D. Able to lift and handle 15-20 lb packages throughout a 12-hour shift.
Able to lift and handle 25-30 lb bagged waste throughout a 12 hour shift
