Reliability Electrician IV (Automation SME)
Position Overview
Position Objective: To develop key measures that help monitor machine reliability and then use this information to help develop collaborative efforts with maintenance and operations, build and maintain machine specific maintenance procedures and troubleshooting guide, assist with training and developing PM,PDM, and DIN Crew efforts and associates, and offer support to your assigned departments RPT and EIT efforts.
Essential Duties (Consider job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skills, judgment, safety knowledge, and responsibility):
o Assist in the development and use of appropriate systems to document and
report necessary historical, statistical and analytical data to gauge overhaul,
PM / PDM, machine efficiencies, machine operations, etc.
o Refine data gathering and reporting to continuously add value to plant
Leadership decision -making.
o Provide technical support on TPM related items such as equipment specifi
cations and tolerances, operational opportunities, support of root cause
analysis (RCA) of significant failures.
o Assist in creating and documenting standardized training for the continued
development of reliability technicians and PCTs.
o Be a resource for operations and reliability teams to conduct advanced
troubleshooting.
o Help develop and actively attend and support your assigned department’s
RPT and EIT Meetings
o Develop and maintain systems to track cost reductions and savings
o Utilize data analysis to troubleshoot line issues and support technicians and
machine operators
Physical Requirements:
o Must be able to sit, walk, squat, and or stand intermittently for at least a 12
hour shift
o Must be able to work in temperatures that range from 50 to 110 degrees
o Must be able to climb ladders o Must be able to work in a dusty environment
o Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Skills Required:
o Leadership skills
o Ability to communicate effectively
o Electrical aptitude with a strong understanding of control components &
logic
o Ability to use a computer (excel, Google, power point, word)
o Ability to learn operational systems
o Ability to analyze data to resolve problems
o Organizational skills
o Attention to detail
Safety & Security Requirements:
o Abide by and enforce all plant safety rules and regulations
o Know evacuation routes, locations of storm shelters, and gathering places
o Must comply with all required OSHA and SAFE rules and regulations
o Refer to specific job hazard analysis
o Refer to material safety data sheets (MSDS)
Minimum Requirements:
O Must be at least a Reliability Electrician 4 with willingness to achieve a
Reliability Electrician 5
Work Shift
8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
