Shaw Industries Inc Shipping/Receiving Supervisor in Columbia, South Carolina
The Shipping/Receiving Supervisor actively manages Plant material flow by overseeing daily activities and personnel within the Shipping/Receiving Department.
Plans daily truck loads according to customer plant needs.
Communicates trucking support needs with approved freight carriers.
Supervise the shift and direct shipments.
Manage employees, including coaching & development opportunities
Maintain KRONOS timecards for shift employees.
Maintains overtime schedule when necessary.
Communicate with internal and external customers.
Assist other shipping personnel as needed.
Conducts required safety meetings and audits.
Actively participates in 5S projects.
Reviews shipping documents, bill of ladings, and interplant transfer forms for accuracy.
Handles paperwork with incoming truck drivers.
Receives in return yarn, delustrant.
Reviews daily inventory and shipment log sheets for accuracy.
Post inventory adjustments using GLINK/Fiber.
Conducts inventories according to work instructions.
Ensures that shipping document files are maintained according to record retention requirements.
Ensures proper distribution of shipping documentation.
Comply with procedures found in SMS.
Perform all job duties using safe work methods.
Comply with Corporate Absenteeism and Tardiness Policy.
Work normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping times. Works overtime as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Manager.

High School Diploma/GED
1+ years leadership experience
2+ years warehouse shipping and receiving experience
Computer experience to include Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
