Compliance Training Specialist

Position Overview

The Compliance Training Specialist is responsible for the support, implementation, delivery, and maintenance of content, assets, and other instructional resources used to meet Shaw’s compliance needs. In addition, the Compliance Training Specialist will ensure the success and effectiveness of training by evaluating and versioning all content, consistent with internal and external guidelines and regulations. This role will work closely with subject matter experts and system administrators to develop, and ensure adherence to, an enterprise-wide compliance training calendar.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Legal, HR Compliance, and Risk Management to ensure all compliance training needs are met.

  • Work with stakeholders to create, maintain, and strictly adhere to a company-wide compliance training calendar.

  • Leverage excellent communication, problem solving, and project management skills to coordinate and manage compliance needs concurrently.

  • Utilize the Workday LMS to assign, monitor, and report on compliance training throughout the enterprise.

  • Develop reporting for ongoing access to compliance learning records by generating standard and custom compliance reports.

  • Maintain comprehensive training record database for compliance and auditing needs.

  • Ensure necessary compliance training is completed for newly hired and promoted associates during the onboarding process, by working closely with Shaw’s Onboarding team.

  • Facilitate the successful linkage of vendor courses to the Workday LMS.

  • Serve as point of escalation for support issues, which includes interaction with internal stakeholders and compliance content vendors.

  • Act as an internal consultant by analyzing compliance completion data and recommend solutions to better deliver, track, and measure training performance to meet organizational objectives.

  • Help facilitate the Corporate Compliance Communication plan.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of Compliance Training Experience or Learning Management Systems Experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of Compliance Training Experience or Learning Management Systems Experience.

  • Previous Workday Learning Administrator experience is a plus.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Must be able to effectively manage multiple projects, work independently and collaboratively with a team, while also dealing with multiple groups of stakeholders

  • Strong internal and external communication, writing, and project management skills

  • Familiarity with Workday and Workday Learning platforms

  • Knowledge and skills to advise and consult with subject matter experts to ensure delivery of the desired compliance message to the targeted audiences

  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and deliver quality results in a time-sensitive environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced team environment while seeking input from others
