Data & Reporting Analyst- Global Accounts

Position Overview

Role must possess a high level of business acumen, as well as technical mastery, can speak in business terms based upon audience, and able to translate data insights and analysis needs into analytic models. Provides logical intellect to analyze business requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processes and/or improve existing business systems. Position is expected to design and build analysis from fragmented information utilizing top tier information discovery and report building tools. Multidiscipline individual whose skills sit at an intersection of Business Teams, Data Analytics, Data Science, and Data Engineering responsible for bringing robust, efficient, and integrated data models and analytic solutions to life. Must thrive at being able to blend business acumen with technical expertise. Partner closely with divisional & departmental leaders across Shaw’s Contract Global Accounts and Marketing to provide data driven analytical solutions which leads to business value, decision enablement, and behavior-based outcomes.

Please note this position is based out of Dalton, GA.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and educate. In this role, you will be entrusted with the responsibility to assess current practices and identify opportunities for improvement within the order entry and tracking processes. You will be expected to implement necessary changes where appropriate, ensuring the system aligns with evolving reporting requirements and fosters greater efficiency.

• Proactively consult with Contract Global Sales organization to identify, analyze, and document current operational procedures, problems, and requirements. E.g. Top 20 Account List and sales activity thereof, Acct. Creation/Maintenance operating procedures, Global Accts research – identifying and prospecting w sales trends and activities how information is to be summarized, KPI & QBR data collection as needed, Executive Summary by acct for leadership mtgs w customers

• Ability to develop/design accurate scheduled and ad hoc reports using Business Information (BI) tools (Power BI, Tableau, Databricks, Fusion) based on Customer requests via VPSA or SIS

• Support self-service tools (Tableau Dashboards, internal and customer facing) and applications which includes updating the design and the script for data pulls (Databricks, SQL Server)

• Identify, evaluate, and document data sources against requirements for accuracy and consistency

• Test and troubleshoot to ensure work is aligning with defined needs

• Act as single point of contact for data and analytical requests. Generate custom reports summarizing business or financial data for review by executives, managers, sales force, and other internal customers

• Collaborate, consult and build network with senior leadership, VPSA teams in defining analytical expectations, designing data models as well as presenting innovative data and reporting solutions

• Model, Organize, and Transform data based upon expectation and evolving need. Develop, implement and ensure data accuracy as well as trust in analytical solutions and dashboards or various other deliverables

• Be forward thinking, ability to provide insights and innovative next steps providing iterative improvements

Qualifications:

Knowledge:

• Understands overall Enterprise Data Architecture and demonstrates the ability to model complex data structures logically and physically to support analytical requirements

• Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent initiatives

• Ability to present ideas with meaningful, succinct intention, to diverse audiences

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to deliver root cause analysis

• Experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment

• Ability to communicate technical information effectively to business users

Technical Skills:

• Strong SQL / ETL / Database Knowledge

• Strong Tableau and PowerBI development and UX design

• Experience with Data Science tools such as R, Python, or DAX

• Experience with Data Lakes and tools such as Databricks

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
