Director- Builder Business Channel Strategy

Position Overview


  • Provide leadership, focus and strategic direction specific to the Shaw Floors and A/T Brands via applicable builder channel, leading to growth in revenue and profitability.

  • Develop business strategy for our builder & multi family businesses through deep market and internal understanding

  • Leadership in planning, communicating and executing Sample Plan and Promotional Spend.

  • Delivering innovative and “value added” products and solutions via specific business channels, while supporting and strengthening the brand promises.

  • Collaboratively work with field leadership, category management, marketing and business insight teams as well as product design to ensure delivery of winning product in all flooring categories including HS and SS.

  • Collaborate with and jointly own the ESOP process from a market-back perspective and develop accuracy in forecasting and planning for all applicable product categories.

  • Provide leadership over the Commodity Profit Team focused to drive the business plan and to manage all internal or external variables that affect the Profit Team’s mission and impact on the P & L. Key functions of the team include:

  • Determine Lever Priorities

  • Measure Consistently & Report Monthly

  • Growth & profitability in all Builder Business Channels

  • Creating and Driving our go-to-market process for all product categories

  • Delivery of straight-forward, actionable and profitable builder marketing initiatives

Success Factors:

  • Lateral influence throughout Shaw internal and field teams

  • Lateral influence throughout builder business channels (Single & Multi-Family)

  • Understanding key factors influencing builder business channels

  • Understanding key factors affecting our income statement and our mission to improve profitability

  • Utilization of business skills and acumen to ensure our builder channels are accretive


  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Deep understanding of sales, marketing, brand management and minimum of 3 years’ experience of builder division (single family, multi-family or specified living) business channels, or product category management within Shaw or similar industry.

  • Four year degree preferred

8 hour, day shift
