Position Overview

Critical areas of responsibility include business development with key retail clients and influencer marketing, designing impactful in person consumer experiences and outlining strategy for all consumer touch points for our residential business.

We’re looking for someone who is strategic, social, and highly-motivated to lead multiple projects at a single time within a fast-paced, innovative, and customer-centric organization. They must be able to navigate complexity and communicate effectively to a broad, diverse organization. The Director of Consumer Experience Marketing needs to be passionate about creating consumer experiences that lead to brand loyalty and ultimately business success for Shaw and our partners. They must be a leader that has a positive impact on our organization.


  • Develop view of both current and future consumer journeys and all potential touch points including online, in store, social, samples, advertising, printed materials and experiential marketing.

  • Provide expertise to Shaw’s organization and customers to enhance the understanding of flooring consumers.

  • Develop metrics to evaluate the impact of experiences, including campaign dashboards to guide both execution and resource allocation. Serve as a consumer advocate throughout the organization.

  • Translate consumer insights into actionable targets to both impact the consumer experience and drive to enhance financial performance.

  • Have enterprise wide cross functional understanding and relationships to increase ability to impact consumer experience.

  • Curate key consumer experience events that integrate with both e-commerce opportunities and existing channel customers to drive both brand preference, revenue and margin at the local level.

  • Create influencer campaigns including tied impact dashboards to enhance brand visibility and create revenue opportunities for both Shaw and our retail partners.

  • Evaluate consumer centric design services as a strategy to shorten the buying cycle and create value for Shaw’s brands.

  • Develop and execute programs to drive growth, managing budget and resources across business functions based on changing marketplace demands

  • Develop a deep understanding of the brand and product to develop strategies that meet both financial and brand-building goals.

  • Research and present trends and innovations for best-in-class consumer experiences to elevate our channel and product experience

  • Identify and execute new partnerships, collaborations and other parties for channel extensions and creative content outlets.

  • Manage creative development process, with regular insights from business leaders, for all digital and physical assets to deliver on key consumer experiences.

  • Steward the customer journey by engaging current and future customers by thoughtfully crafting dialogue and experience that drive brand affinity.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field.

  • Eight to ten years of experience in a consumer products company across multiple channels of trade, wholesale or retail, with dedicated experience in developing best in class consumer experiences and events.

  • Five years of experience with strategic planning and/or budgeting.

  • Knowledge of advanced marketing tools and systems preferred.
