Position Overview

Shaw Industries Residential marketing strategy is evolving and growing. The Digital Experience and Design team will design B2B2C digital experiences and deliver capabilities to meet the demands of customers and consumers.

This role will lead a team of user experience (UX) designers, SEO analyst, graphic artists and digital marketing managers while leveraging methods and tools that result in best-in-class digital customer and consumer experiences and solutions across the Residential portfolio of brands. This leader will champion a customer-centric and data-driven approach to experience design that incorporates customer and consumer insights, feedback, and best practices into all design activities.

The ideal candidate will have a proven experience implementing websites and working closely with back-end and front-end web developers. This position will report directly to the VP of Digital Strategy.


  • Lead a team of Digital Marketing Managers, UX/UI Designers, Graphic Artists, and an SEO Analyst to deliver a comprehensive website development strategy across the portfolio of brands that aligns with our marketing and ecommerce strategy. This includes the enablement of capabilities such as user experience design, usability testing, design thinking, seo optimization and digital customer journey mapping.

  • Partner with Marketing, Category, Channel, Enablement, IT and and other cross functional stakeholders to improve customer experience through stronger understanding of customer needs and better design of digital experiences, content, and solutions.

  • Collaborate with and be a consultative partner to the marketing teams, media producers and writers to ensure the creation and delivery of tailored experiences for the digital user.

  • Manage, maintain and modify existing websites and user interfaces to enhance the user website experience including testing content, graphics, page layouts, page designs, page flows, and target links for landing pages.

  • Generate, document, and maintain digital experience best practices based on qualitative and quantitative customer and consumer insights, including through continuous experimentation and execution of experience optimization tests in partnership with cross-functional analytics teams.

  • Champion agile, design thinking and experimentation in the design and management of digital experiences and solutions.

  • Lead cross-functional efforts to establish and execute roadmaps for digital services and solutions across portfolio of brands that address customer and consumer need.

  • Build and manage a team of in-house user experience (UX) designers and scalable externally provided UX services. Lead the team to produce high quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, sitemaps, and prototypes

  • Provide guidance on the implementation of UX / UI research methodologies and usability testing in order to analyze and predict user behavior


Experience and Skill Required:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, UX/UI Design, Information Technology or similar

  • 8-10 yrs. proven experience leading teams in the development and ongoing management of digital experiences across multiple brands

  • Experience working with and/or leading UX/UI, Functional Spec, Front End Development, Graphic Design and SEO

  • Digital Agency experience preferred
