Position Overview

The Director, Pricing and Customer Incentives is a critical member of the Pricing Strategy team, responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies and customer incentive programs to drive revenue growth, maximize profitability, enhance customer satisfaction, and shape Shaw’s pricing performance. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and experience in pricing models, market analysis, and incentive program design.

Key Responsibilities:

Pricing Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive pricing strategies that align with company objectives and market conditions.

  • Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to inform pricing decisions.

  • Ensure pricing strategies support profitability targets and overall business goals.

    Customer Incentive Programs:

  • Design and manage customer incentive programs, including discounts, promotions, loyalty programs, and rebates.

  • Assess the effectiveness of incentive programs and adjust strategies based on performance metrics and feedback.

  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to align incentive programs with promotional campaigns and sales strategies.

    Market Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to understand pricing dynamics and customer preferences.

  • Utilize data analytics to identify pricing opportunities and potential areas for improvement.

  • Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations to senior management.

    Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and product management, to ensure pricing and incentive strategies are effectively implemented.

  • Communicate pricing strategies and incentive program details clearly to internal stakeholders and customers.

  • Be a change agent, able to lead and influence cross-functionally.

  • Provide training and support to sales teams on pricing strategies and incentive program details.

    Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

  • Monitor and analyze the performance of pricing strategies and incentive programs, using KPIs and other metrics.

  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize pricing and incentives for maximum impact.

  • Manage pricing tools and systems to ensure accurate and efficient pricing execution.

    Budget and Resource Management:

  • Lead the adoption of Rebate Management software including requirements gathering, design, testing, integration, and deployment alongside a Price Optimization software.

  • Oversee the budget for pricing and incentive programs, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with financial goals.

  • Support financial reporting and accrual requirements for accurate P&L performance management.

  • Allocate resources effectively to support pricing initiatives and program management.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.

  • 8+ years of experience in pricing strategy and execution, revenue management, or related fields, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing and incentive programs. Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, market research, and competitive analysis.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

  • Proven capability to find opportunities for profit optimization through pricing strategies and commercial tactics.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and influence cross-functionally within a matrixed organization.

  • Must possess executive presence.

  • Proficiency in pricing software, data analysis tools, and CRM systems.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Willing to travel to Dalton, GA and other locations as needed.

    Preferred Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in pricing strategy and execution, revenue management, or related fields, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing and incentive programs.

  • Experience in flooring industry / building materials is a plus.

  • Certified Pricing Professional

  • Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis, pricing modeling techniques, price optimization software, and advanced data analysis tools (Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, etc.), and knowledge of coding languages (Python, HTML, R, etc.).

  • Based near Dalton, GA or willing to relocate .

    Physical Requirements:
