Divisional Training, Development & Design Leader

Position Overview

To lead and support the overall training strategy for the division that aligns at both the organization- and plant-level and works to support the high-performance organization philosophy by use of the competency model, PX, initiatives, goals & metrics, structures, and people systems. To serve as a Consultant to all facilities within Fibers Division.


  • Works closely with Divisional Leadership to identify and develop a strategy for Training & Development that is consistent with the overall objectives of the facilities, division, and company.

  • Work alongside HR Director and HR Management on talent management, performance management, and succession planning initiatives.

  • In collaboration with the Fibers leadership team, HR and Training business partners, create an energetic and engaging learning environment across Fibers while ensuring we work toward improving knowledge; skills and behaviors needed to drive business results.

  • Communicate and collaborate with Talent Management and Corporate HR. To serve as a bridge between the Fibers Division and these groups.

  • Partner with the Learning and Development department to facilitate and oversee programs such as new associate onboarding, on-the-job training, leadership development, team building, and change management

  • Champion organizational learning and development initiatives and programs such as Core Pathways, ADX, LinkedIn Learning, etc.

  • Coach and develop training professionals at both the management and support levels within the division.

  • Serve as a divisional expert on team, leadership and organizational development by providing expert consulting, coaching, and instruction for all leaders.

  • When needed, assist in designing/developing a needs analysis to identify training needs. Provide coaching to training departments.

  • Develop division-wide evaluations of training that measures training effectiveness and the ROI of training

  • Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs, while applying principles of learning and individual differences.

  • Champion the use of new technologies, systems, and processes which positively impact divisional and organizational metrics.

  • Lead and/or participate in initiatives that assist the division and the company involving change management or other change initiatives

  • Facilitate Culture/Engagement survey activities across the division.

  • Provide best practices and consistency across the division (new hire, safety)

  • Bachelor’s degree, a degree in HR related field is preferred

  • 3 years experience in leading training programs and efforts

  • Demonstrated ability to work with data/systems to provide insight and analysis


  • Master’s degree in the area of Adult Learning, Education, Organizational Development, I/O Psychology

  • 2+ years experience managing a team

Work Shift

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
