eCommerce Specialist - Home Center

Position Overview

The Home Center eCommerce Specialist is responsible for the execution and roll-out of new online products on various platforms used to conduct digital sales while driving conversions on a website. The Home Center eCommerce Specialist will plan, organize, develop timelines, execute timelines, to ensure products are launched on time with zero defects. Attention to detail, project management, and drive to “execute” are vital to both Shaw and our customer’s success. Customers include but are not limited to Lowes, Home Depot, Menards, Empire, and Floor and Décor.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintains a strong knowledge of the customer business practices, customer brand standards, customer product set-up requirements both internally and externally, as well as customer operational deadlines and internal business requirements.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to have content developed that meets the needs of our customers including marketing copy, product images, videos and A+ content.

  • Partner with category team as needed to identify missing product specs.

  • Upload, update and organize digital assets within vendor partner’s product management system.

  • Configure search term attributes to search engine specifications to ensure consumers can find Shaw products on partner websites.

  • Audit product uploads to ensure they follow the approved style and partner guidelines.

  • Review to ensure correct images uploaded, copy text uploaded, no duplicates appear, the naming conventions are accurate, the correct supporting documentation present and the overall appearance is appealing.

  • Assist manager to deploy consumer acquisition strategies to drive consumer traffic, sales, and develop brand loyalty.

  • Maintain spec information ensuring any updates or changes are completed on time and communicated to the customer and all necessary departments.

  • Manage the online sample program with our internal sample plant.

  • Schedule stock and work with Lowe’s and our SC team to keep their DFC stocked.

  • Research, verify and provide data to customers data management sites accurately and on time. Systems include PCM, IDM and all on-line platforms. Includes customer required SKU set-up files.

  • Managing drops and adding products for the endless aisle (flooring, trims, and online samples).

  • Create PVS relationship and combine reviews within each style/collection.

  • Apply for and maintain the needed UPC.

  • Coordinate the implementation of price increases/decreases. Communicate pricing with customer service pricing and order entry.

  • Support manager with maintaining promotions calendar, tracking all e-commerce marketing efforts, analyzing data, and using findings to improve sales.

  • Assist internal/external partners with online purchase orders status, product questions and claims.

  • Create sales analysis reports that include top selling styles, top sales by colors, and product cost to support new product proposals.

  • Prepare product proposal sheet that includes invoice cost, suggested retails, potential margin, and competitive retail pricing.

  • Able to interact and communicate effectively with customers and deliver satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Reasoning, critical thinking, analytical thinking required, changing task and prioritization, color input

  • Must be able to work under pressure and adversity (deadlines and stress)

  • High School degree required, Associates Degree or Higher recommended

  • Experience with Home Center accounts or National Accounts recommended

  • Must be proficient in Excel, Word, and other office software

  • Some overnight travel required.

  • Any other duties as requested by management

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Shaw Distribution network

  • Knowledge of Shaw Sample system / process

  • Ability to interact with other departments to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes

  • Desire to advance career

  • Must be functionally knowledgeable of Shaw systems including: TTR, Shaw Online Live, GLINK, UNITS.
