Front-end Engineer (Remote)

Position Overview

Shaw’s IT Digital Marketing group builds cutting-edge websites and applications that support one of the leading floor covering companies in the world. We are looking for a full-time Frontend Web Developer to become an integral part of our team.

In this role, you will work closely with the Development Lead, business partners, and other developers on the team. You will seek to understand business requirements and build useful systems that help drive results. Responsibilities will include the translation of UI/UX design to code resulting in visual elements of the application. You will bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, working on both sides helping to define how the application looks and works.

We are looking for someone who has relevant skills and experience and is ready to learn and grow as well. Ideally, you will be curious, self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and organized. You will also be coachable but willing to share your opinions. We are looking for someone that wants more than just a job. This role is for you if you are passionate about creating solutions, crave customer interaction, excited by seeing real people use what you've built, and have a desire to make a difference every day.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA / BS Degree or equivalent practical experience

• Proficient with CSS

• Some experience with CSS precompilers like Sass and LESS

• Proficient with HMTL

• Proficient with JavaScript

• Some experience with npm (Node Package Manager)

• Some experience with task runners like Gulp, Grunt, Webpack

• Ability to analyze and document problems and requirements that are understandable

• Ability to work well on a team in person or via remote

• Above-average problem-solving skills

• Demonstrate production of code based on a provided business problem

• Excellent testing, troubleshooting, and debugging skills

• Experience with use, configuration, and deployment of web-based applications

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Good organizational skills and time-management skills

• Sets challenging goals and works diligently to achieve or surpass them

• Manages competing demands in a stressful environment

• Has good work habits, including the ability to work well and collaborate with others

Preferred Qualifications:

• Kentico CMS and/or Kentico Kontent or other content management systems

• Angular

• NodeJS

• REACT

• VueJS

• Experience with API tools like Postman

• Experience with cloud computing platforms

• Experience with marketing data and processes, including product specifications

Work Shift

8 hour, day shift
