Shaw Industries Inc IT Analyst in Dalton, Georgia
This position is in Shaw’s User Experience Organization, specifically on the ServiceNow Platform Team The person holding this position is responsible for analyzing business requirements, procedures, and problems to improve and automate our processes in ServiceNow and other connected systems, and providing an excellent user experience. They are directly responsible for forming and maintaining professional relationships with their business partners as well as their teammates across Information Technology. They will participate in the development and support of business applications that enable Shaw's business units to conduct their operations in the most efficient and low-cost method. The supported systems are crucial to the business areas in their efforts to provide Shaw's customers with the best possible service and help enable Shaw's management in making their operations as efficient and profitable as possible.
The position will be at Shaw’s corporate headquarters located in Dalton, GA but is eligible for full-time remote working or a hybrid work schedule.
Provide support to customers by working with other IT Groups, vendors, and other business partners to ensure that correct functionality is applied to ServiceNow applications.
Be an advocate for the business, while interacting with other IT groups to determine appropriate system-related solutions to business problems.
Analyze, research, and troubleshoot technical system problems, as well as, learn new system capabilities that are delivered or custom solutions that can be developed.
Responsible for writing system specifications, developing test scripts and conducting test activities, coordinating and testing ServiceNow updates/fixes
Writing queries/reports, compiling data from multiple sources to provide information
Develop strong relationships with business partners and teammates
Review systems and processes with the goal of reducing operation time, making modifications, and improving overall efficiency
Follows standards, implementation procedures and troubleshooting processes
Work successfully in time sensitive situations
Contribute ideas on how to improve automation services
Stays current with new and evolving processes via formal training and self-directed education
Diagnose problems and provide solutions and alternatives.
Work independently with varying and multiple high priorities.
Occasional travel to Georgia might be required.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, or a closely related field, or High School Diploma and comparable experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
An understanding of relational database systems and knowledge of SQL
Good customer service skills: in-person, phone, and email
Ability to work effectively in teams; collaboration skills, provide and accept feedback
Good writing and documentation skills
Able to present information to teams of different sizes
Strong analytical and decision-making skills
Two years working with ServiceNow
Previous experience in ServiceNow implementations and upgrades as a core team member or project management is a plus
Working knowledge of ServiceNow processes and functions
Position may be offered as an Associate Analyst or Analyst depending on selected candidate qualifications and experience.
