Position Overview

Shaw’s Information Technology Project Management Office (PMO) enables our global organization to be competitive by providing our business partners with the technology that allows them to be agile in meeting current and future business challenges. We are looking for a full-time project manager who brings a holistic perspective, a deep curiosity, and a broad set of skills.

As an IT Project Manager, this associate will have an opportunity to support future upgrades, improvements, transformations, and digitization type projects. There will also be opportunities for specialization around program management and change management.

This position is a hybrid role, requiring an ability and willingness to travel to various Shaw locations within Northwest Georgia when needed to attend in-person events. Anticipated in-person events will be at least quarterly and potentially monthly.

Position Objective:Successfully lead medium and large-scale projects through the project life cycle while ensuring the projects are on time, on budget, and within scope.


  • Develops detailed project plans to monitor, track progress, and deliver technology solutions

  • Develops project resource requirements and works with appropriate organizational units to acquire resource commitments

  • Measures and tracks performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques

  • Performs risk management to minimize potential risks, identifies issues and resolves them appropriately

  • Escalates project-impacting issues at the proper time and to the proper leadership level

  • Meets budgetary objectives and makes adjustments as needed based on financial analysis

  • Develops a change management plan for projects as needed based on change management assessments. Promotes change and is optimistic in the face of change.

  • Manages relationships with project stakeholders, business partners, and vendors. Works to create proper project team engagement and motivation.

  • Interfaces with third-party consultants and subject matter experts at all levels to determine possible areas of exposure and appropriate solutions to potential problems

  • Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, with people at all levels of the corporation in a clear and concise manner

  • Maintains appropriate project documentation

  • Manages competing demands across a portfolio of projects

  • Leads discovery, POC (Proof of Concept), and pilot initiatives as needed

  • Facilitates vendor evaluations to identify new vendor partners

Minimal Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business management, or related field or 5+ years project management experience

  • Strong familiarity with project management tools, various methodologies, and best practices

  • Demonstrates strong organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple, large, and complex projects effectively

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and experience

  • Change Management training (Prosci) and experience

  • Strong understanding of various business environments (manufacturing, sales, marketing, administration, logistics, etc.) to support Program Management

How We Work:

Our team is 100% remote, although those of us who live nearby will occasionally meet up in person at the Shaw headquarters in Dalton, GA. We use Microsoft Teams to stay connected. Besides messaging, we have a Team Huddle every Monday morning and a Team Connect every Thursday to keep our skills sharp.

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
