Manufacturing Supervisor II
Position Overview
Job Title: SUPERVISOR
Responsibilities:
Serve the Tufting Department in a supervisory capacity by continually monitoring the appropriate shift operations and ensuring compliance with all company, plant and departmental guidelines and procedures.
Support and build trust with associates to help them thrive and grow
Monitor all departmental safety, quality, production procedures and ensure they are continually followed by all employees. This includes auditing machines, troubleshooting, completing repairs on shift and making quality critical decisions.
Ensure continuous flow across shifts including communicating and walk throughs with incoming/outgoing supervisors and yarn management
Complete the appropriate paperwork needed to effectively monitor and record departmental safety, quality and productivity performance
Oversee other facilities as necessary and Plant 80 yarn warehouse
Conduct regular meetings in department including First Day Back
Give final signoff on style changes
Complete all department/ facility walkthroughs as required.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous Leadership experience required
Experience in carpet manufacturing and ability to identify carpet defects preferred
Previous Tufting and/or Warping experience preferred
Sit or stand intermittently for at least 8 hrs per day.
Be able to walk through the department several times a day.
Work in a normal industrial environment with inherent background noise, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations
