Position Overview

The Marketing Research Analyst will act as a strategic partner in collaborating with Shaw Residential team with an overall focus on collecting data on various audiences (consumer, retailers, RSAs, etc.) competitors, and the marketplace. As a member of the Marketing Team, this position will translate findings into insights and actionable recommendations that guide business decisions and strategy for Shaw’s Residential team.

This is an excellent position for individuals who are data curious, analytically savvy, residentially astute, and passionate about sharing their insight-driven recommendations to influence and make a positive impact. The candidate must have the ability to define problems, execute various research methods, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid, relevant conclusions and correlate business implications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Gather and interpret data from various sources and translate information into key insights, actionable items, and formulate reports/presentations into a compelling story.

  • Design, develop and execute various types of research methods to meet business objectives.

  • Translate and develop complex data into implications for the business.

  • Collaborate with internal and external business partners to inform and support business needs and challenges.

  • Maintain an insights dashboard/platform used as a communication, measurement and tracking tool.

  • Deliver continuous research on key topics, trends and marketplace information, inside and outside the industry to support, inform and educate our business partners.

  • Create and present market research in a format that can be easily understood and consumed.

  • Manage research projects to ensure that the scope and direction of each project is on target to meet required outcomes.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data sources, evaluating their credibility and potential utility.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in marketing, statistics, business intelligence or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in market research, data collection and analysis experience in quantitative and qualitative research.

  • Adequate knowledge and experience with business research tools and MS Office.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to interpret and synthesize large amounts of data and multi-task under tight timelines.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Proven ability to work independently as well as with a team

  • Travel as needed
