Position Overview

Shaw Industries is seeking a Merchandising Operations Manager to ensure the operational success of all merchandising initiatives from development through executional handoff , including strategic direction and process improvement for the Merchandising department. This position will manage Merchandising Department Managers, Spec Manager and Analyst Manger. The position will handle all Carpet and Hard Surfaces merchandising execution, including but not limited to; Samples, Racks, Printing and Point of Purchase (POP) items. This position will also be responsible for the consolidation of marketing contacts for these Merchandising functions.

Responsibilities

  • Management of all Merchandising Department Managers, Spec Manager, and Analyst Manager who will execute the day-to-day marketing action items in order to drive overall merchandising needs for all groups (Carpet/HS). Organize, direct, prioritize, align and support the needs and activities of the Sample Merchandising Managers and their teams.

  • Deliver and drive Merchandising and marketing strategies, systems, and tactics through collaboration with marketing, samples, IT, sales and vendors to ensure execution.

  • Direct the creation and maintenance of sample specifications for Marketing in ASSET . (All groups - Carpet, HS)

  • Assist in the development of new displays and sample vehicles for all groups with the focus on operational efficiency and marketing need .

  • Maintain strong communication channels between the Sample Division and all marketing groups and R & D.

  • Assist and coordinate with Marketing and Creative Services to ensure the best possible operational and marketing selection is made on any new merchandising item.

  • Manage outside vendor relationships from the standpoint of marketing coordination to ensure the correct vendor is selected for a particular project

  • Play an active role in vendor selection and evaluation through Sourcing’s RFP/Marketing Collateral process.

  • Manage and maintain all display and graphics codes, pricing, inventory and orders within applicable Shaw systems.

  • Ensure optimized Management and coordination of all Market orders from order entry through delivery to shows and setup.

  • Travel to shows/markets as needed.

  • Direct and manage marketing execution for Private Label orders.

    REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous Management experience including coaching and developing associates.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels (verbally and in writing).

  • Must be efficient in the use of basic computer programs (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint etc.)

  • Must have working knowledge of TTR, Glink, UNITS, ASAP, ASSET and Shaw Online Live programs.

  • Must be able to travel to markets and shows as needed.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively, successfully prioritize daily tasks, and exercise good judgment when making decisions and sharing sensitive information.

  • Must be capable of performing basic math.

  • Previous Samples Experience

  • Work will be performed in an office with the use of computers as well as in a manufacturing environment.
