Position Overview

Position Overview:

The Organizational Development Practitioner is a client-focused role, with the primary goal of helping business leaders and teams develop more effective organizations that achieve their desired results. This position uses process consultation to engage and assist the leaders across the enterprise under the direction of the Manager of Organizational Development. The OD Practitioner role will work collaboratively with other support groups to integrate available skills and methods to provide clients with the optimum solutions. This position will also provide process facilitation to support interventions related to talent management initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide process consultation to Shaw leaders to help assess and diagnose organizational issues and challenges, helping the client determine the appropriate intervention (solution) and supporting them through the intervention when appropriate.

  • Create tools, materials, activities, and procedures to assist clients with the execution and follow-through on projects; e.g, project plans, quick reference guides, assessments, communication plans, feedback sessions, team-building sessions, etc.

  • Provide process facilitation support for strategic talent management initiatives; e.g, leading breakout sessions, facilitating work sessions, etc.

  • Collaborate with the Manager of Organizational Development to identify trends, concerns, and opportunities related to organizational alignment and effectiveness

  • Provide a “leadership alignment lens” while engaging business leaders, coaching and reinforcing strategic alignment principles in one-to-one sessions, meetings, workshops, etc.

  • Assertively collaborate with partners across the enterprise; most directly, with other members of Talent Management, HR, Enterprise Excellence, and Innovation; to deliver to our business leaders consistent, coordinated, and appropriate support.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree with related 5 years or more work experience in Human Resource Development, Organizational Development, Six Sigma, Learning & Development, or related field required.
