Plant 81- Machinist - 1st Shift
Skill and experience in programming and running CNC equipment. Experience with Mazak, DMG Mori and Vectrax.
Skill and experience in running the following manual equipment: lathe, mill, surface grinder, radial drill, metal saw, band saw, and drill presses, and other ancillary shop equipment and tools.
Fabrication, welding (MIG and TIG), and sheet metal experience is a plus. Read and understand measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and steel tape with extreme accuracy.
Read and understand mechanical drawings Be able to distinguish between different types of metals and know which type to use for each application Interpret mechanical situations to determine proper course of action and materials needed to accomplish a task
Must be able to determine proper machining methods and setups to run all types of materials
Work with machine shop team to develop new machinery
Develop ideas and recommend improvements to increase productivity within the department
Assist other machinists in running equipment as directed by supervision
Have all tools requested by supervision
Perform preventative maintenance as assigned
Maintain a high degree of workmanship and efficiency
Keep work area clean and free of hazards Know and adhere to all safety policies, rules and regulations
Adhere to normal schedule for starting and stopping unless otherwise directed by supervision On call for machinery downtime during and after working hours at the direction of supervision
Work seven days when required
Perform all other related job duties and Responsibilities assigned by supervision
Perform general housekeeping as assigned Requirements:

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
