Plant Manager

Position Overview

The Plant Manager at Plant DJ provides strategic direction and leadership in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and cost while ensuring compliance with all company, plant, and departmental guidelines and procedures. Responsibilities:

  • Manage and direct the everyday functions of the plant.

  • Drive, support and monitor safety, quality, cost, productivity, efficiency, TPM, training and process improvement.

  • Attract, hire, and retain plant leadership positions.

  • Provide leadership, support and drive the development of the plant leadership team.

  • Determine capacity requirements to consistently meet customer demand. Coordinate production efforts with production planning resources to ensure weekly schedule meet customer requirements across multiple product types and construction; recommend changes/adjustments as needed.

  • Build strategic relationships with Nonwoven business partners and other supporting areas. Represent manufacturing as an accountable member of the Nonwovens SPT by providing product and facility-related information effectively.

  • Act as representative of Director in divisional meetings as needed.

  • Direct and optimize raw material utilization efforts.

  • Attend and/or lead plant meetings with associates.

  • Actively participate in P.R.I.D.E. process and SMS programs.

  • Maintain communication and relationship with multiple downstream plants and processes.

  • Perform other duties as directed by Divisional Director

Requirements:

  • 4 year degree and 3+ years of manufacturing management required. Production Manager level experience (overseeing multiple departments) preferred.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, as well as supervisors and hourly associates.

  • Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and analyze data and reports.

  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, all job functions in the departments in order to provide direction and leadership.

8 hour, day shift
