Pricing Analyst III
This position is focused on pricing analysis, administration and support of pricing enablement tools, applications, and infrastructure. The position will be involved in the maintenance of the business-specific data. This person will partner with Category, Channel, and Sales Leadership to provide specialized analysis and insights to optimize sales and profitability through pricing strategies. The role will provide user support and help define future system enhancements assisting the Residential Division use application(s) to achieve a strategic advantage.
Use mathematical analysis to track pricing trends.
Perform margin and pricing analysis to support business initiatives.
Identifies opportunities to optimize sales and profitability through pricing strategies.
Ensure pricing automation systems operation for all business users.
Work with the IS Development team on a regular basis to administrate enhancements and bug fixes.
Liaison with Salesforce.com premier support on a regular basis to manage open cases and ensure the best use of resources.
Enforcement of business rules. This will require the monitoring of data entered into the system and following up with users regarding problems and/or business rules.
Lead and manage requirements, testing, and implementation of system and/or process improvements affecting sales automation systems.
Serve as business analyst to administer, implement and maintain price lists and price agreements in collaboration with product, channel, and sales leadership.
Maintain and support control of core pricing automation system functionally including data management, basic system and configuration.
Analyze systematic issues as reported by users and/or identified through testing to determine root cause, business issue, data challenges and recommendations for resolution.
Assist other departments necessary to implement action plan(s)

Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, accounting, statistics, marketing, or finance or 5+ years of experience with pricing.
5+ years of Business Intelligence experience in complex report development, advanced knowledge of relational databased, SQL, query tools (Teradata SWL Assistant, AQT, Crystal, Business Objects Enterprise).
Excellent business requirement definition skills.
Strong practical understanding of systems, databases and database terminology.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; high level in Excel.
Sound analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot / problem solve with internal and remote user groups.
Self-motivated and capable of managing own tasks with little direct supervision, organization, able to prioritize and multi-task, works well under pressure and tight deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively at all levels.
