Position Overview
The Senior Director of Corporate Brand Strategy is responsible for developing, enhancing, and protecting the Shaw brand through the definition of and deployment of our corporate brand strategy and related strategic positioning initiatives . Working as part of the corporate marketing and communications team, the Senior Director of Corporate Brand Strategy is responsible for delivering a seamless and consistent brand experience for all stakeholders—internal or external—at the corporate level and driving alignment across our operations facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of our business, our stakeholders and of the platforms, channels, and approaches that will enable the brand to effectively reach and engage our audiences and deliver on our brand promise. The Senior Director of Corporate Brand Strategy will develop and define the overall corporate brand strategy to align with corporate communications and talent acquisition strategies and complement enterprise go-to-market brands to elevate the Shaw brand as a whole . This includes providing counsel to and collaborating with selling brand leadership as it relates to our enterprise brand architecture. This role collaborates with HR to promote and build associate—existing and prospective—engagement through the strategic direction of Shaw’s employer brand. The Senior Director of Corporate Brand Strategy will also lead and/or collaborate with other senior marketing/branding leaders on key marketing projects related to enterprise product platforms and other company initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Shaw’s corporate marketing and brand strategy, ensuring Shaw brand clarity and distinction within enterprise brand hierarchy with each business unit.
Translate the corporate vision into a brand story that best positions Shaw in the market and resonates with internal and external audiences
In collaboration with corporate communications, align brand strategy with content strategy to drive the adoption and understanding of the brand across our communications ecosystem to ensure a consistent and dynamic brand experience for all audiences
Collaborate with senior and executive leaders and their teams across the organization to position all brands with their strategic initiatives, prioritizing resources as required to drive results
Advise brand strategy business partners within each business unit to better align the overall Shaw Brand recognition strength within the marketplace
Directs new brand concepts, design, and brand alignment for the organization
Responsible for the overall branding strategy of corporate channels including website, intranet, internal communications systems, social media, other marketing/advertising channels and facility branding at administrative and operations facilities
Lead and/or collaborate on marketing strategy and drive execution of marketing initiatives related to enterprise product platforms or other Shaw programs and services
Creates processes as required to ensure that all internal colleagues have the access and information needed to develop appropriate brand experiences
Oversees creative outputs to ensure the brand is optimally represented, including promotional materials, graphics, photography and other creative assets
Leads the creative/production team and leads by example to promote collaboration with other internal teams in the application and execution of our brand
REQUIREMENTS
A 4-year degree in marketing, communications or related field
Minimum of 10 + years of experience in branding, marketing, or communications with a focus on brand strategy
Proven track record developing and executing successful brand strategies
Experience positioning brand and messaging across multiple audiences
Experience record building, getting buy-in and executing marketing plans
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to drive alignment and implementation
Ability to engage with leadership, work collaboratively and effectively influence across levels
Self-starter with ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and still meet deadlines
A highly developed level of creative skills, critical thinking skills and resourcefulness
Strong motivation, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
