Position Overview

The Network Infrastructure Team is responsible for defining the network hardware standards and configuration templates for routing, switching, wireless, voice and firewall technologies across the enterprise.  Other systems and technologies supported by this team include cloud networking, IP address management, DNS/DHCP, web site domain services and infrastructure cabling standards.  This team is also responsible for cost and relationship management across the different service providers.  As a member of the Network Infrastructure Team, you have a direct impact on the design and improvements required to keep the infrastructure healthy.    

In this role, the Senior Network Engineer will have a lead role in the design and configuration standards for the network infrastructure initiatives, while ensuring the reliability and performance of the network.    

We are looking for someone who has the relevant skills and experience and is ready to learn and grow.  Ideally, you will be curious, self-motivated, entrepreneurial and organized.    

Responsibilities:

  • In this role, you will be responsible for project planning and designing scalable network infrastructure solution s to meet business requirements for a highly available network.  

  • Appl y your knowledge of network systems, applications and network infrastructure to provide technical expertise for network infrastructure designs, expansions and configurations.   

  • Develop and define network architecture which incorporates standards, templates, and processes for the enterprise.    

  • Provide direct support in life cycle planning, problem management, integration and network configuration.    

  • Guide and manage key initiatives to ensure the desired business outcomes are achieved.  

  • Build and maintain relationships with other groups outside your immediate organization.  

  • Coach and provide guidance to network and technical support staff as appropriate , as part of team-based activities.   

  • Leverage diversity and inclusion to drive the best outcomes.  

  • Collaborat e with vendors on implementation and deployment.   

  • Prepares and delivers visual and oral presentation of project updates.  

  • Planning for future strategies and initiatives to keep the network operating at a high performance.  

    Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or proven experience in a lead N etwork E ngineer role.  

  • At least 10 years of hands-on experience in networking, routing, switching and wireless in a Cisco environment.   

  • Experience in Cisco Wireless Controllers, configuration, implementation and problem resolution.   

  • CCIE Enterprise or CCIE Wireless is highly desired.  

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure networking, Network Automation or network security skills a plus.  

  • Comprehensive understanding of infrastructure implementations through all phases.  

  • Deployment of Enterprise Networking tools and processes.  

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present solutions in a non-technical manner.

  • Ability to travel to different facilities, unassisted, as required .

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
