Position Overview

The Senior Manager, Pricing Analytics & Competitive Insights is a critical member of the Pricing Strategy team, designing and delivering advanced analytical tools, processes, and insights to the organization to help shape Shaw’s pricing strategy, execution, and performance . This role encompasses the creation and design of sophisticated analytical hubs, enabling real-time assessment of market dynamics, leading the advancement of data-driven price and profitability decisions.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Oversee the full design and deployment of advanced strategic pricing tools and systems, including the deployment of a price optimization software suite.

  • Provide insights and recommendations of strategies, tactics, process design, and management of tools, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.

  • Contribute to the strategic pricing infrastructure by updating and refining pricing methodologies, data analytics models, tools, and procedures.

  • Design a process to capture, consolidate , and communicate competitive intelligence, leveraging field-gathered and external resources.

  • Develop early warning systems to detect price optimization opportunities, harmonizing and leveraging internal & external data sources to drive profit improvement.

  • Support the design of a Global Product Hierarchy to ensure requisite granularity of data and integration into all connected systems (CRM, ERP, Vendavo , Salesforce, Shaw-specific, etc.)

  • Provide complex analyses, plan and strategically communicate to educate and persuade stakeholders about market trends, economic value assessments, and pricing strategies.

  • Conduct regular pricing tool competitive benchmarking and develop a process to ensure Shaw leverages best-in-class methods for price optimization.

  • Facilitate change management efforts within the organization as it transitions to a culture centered on value-based pricing and data-driven decision making.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

    Responsibilities:

  • Senior Pricing Manager is tasked with fostering the ongoing advancement and execution of detailed pricing analytics that reflect our corporate aims and market realities.

  • You will spearhead the development and implementation of pricing and market intelligence, manage deployment, training, and utilization of insights offered by pricing toolkit, driving the shift towards value-based and market-driven pricing frameworks.

  • You will be responsible for the end-to-end price performance measurement, including price realization, PVM analyses, competitive intelligence distribution, and ongoing assessment of our pricing governance and enablement.

  • You will nurture the foundation of strategic pricing by enhancing pricing science, data models, tools, and processes.

  • You will enable the strategic pricing discussions in large-scale customer agreements, ensuring considerations of market dynamics and value-based pricing.

  • You will inform and influence stakeholders regarding market trends, value assessments, and pricing strategies through detailed analysis, planning, and strategic discussions.

  • As a key user of pricing tools, you will enable the management of price adjustments using software like Vendavo , PROS, or Zilliant.

  • You will conduct regular competitive pricing analysis and develop a process to identify competitive differentiators, value gaps, and market opportunities.

  • You will support change management projects as the company moves towards a value-based, data-driven pricing model.

  • You will build and lead a team of technical analysts to support the data lake design and implementation.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

    Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience

  • At least four years of experience in pricing, finance, or a similar area

  • Demonstrated ability to find opportunities for profit optimization through pricing strategies and commercial tactics.

  • Proficiency in advanced data analysis tool (Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, etc.).

  • Willing to travel to Dalton, GA as needed.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in pricing, finance, data analytics, or similar area.

  • Advanced degree in a related field.

  • Knowledge in trade promotion, retail performance, and profitability analytics.

  • Experience managing and harmonizing multiple, complex data sources.

  • Experience leading change in data intelligence in multi-national companies.

  • Familiarity with pricing software, such as Vendavo , PROS, or Zilliant.

  • Knowledge of coding languages (Python, HTML, R, etc.).

  • Based in Dalton, GA, or willing to relocate .
