Training & Development Manager – RDCs

Position Overview

The Training & Development Manager will work closely with business leaders and subject matter experts to lead the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE Model) of training throughout the network of Regional Distribution Centers in the US. This is to positively drive organizational performance results, including associate satisfaction and core work team performance.


  • Works closely with the RDC Leadership team to identify and develop a strategy for Training & Development that is consistent with the overall objectives of the RDCs.

  • Champion organizational learning and development initiatives and programs such as Core Pathways, ADX, LinkedIn Learning, etc.

  • Partner with the Learning and Development department to facilitate and oversee programs such as new associate onboarding, on-the-job training, leadership development, team building, and change management.

  • Coordinates and oversees salaried training (new hire, compliance, etc) and leadership development.

  • Coordinates and oversees training for all plant hourly roles.

  • Coaches and mentors plant trainers located at specific RDC locations.

  • Conducts needs/gap analyses, and collaboration with RDC managers and supervisors across 30 facilities to determine and define training needs.

  • Collaborates with the Regional Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team

  • Responsible for measuring the success and effectiveness of the training across the RDCs.

  • Continuously looks to improve training and development at all levels across the RDC network by staying up-to-date on training best practices and adult learning trends.

  • Stays abreast of state or federal laws that require compliance-based training and education.

  • In collaboration with the leadership team and SLA business partners, creates an energetic and engaging learning environment across the RDC network while ensuring we work toward improving knowledge; skills and behaviors needed to drive business results.

  • Designs and develops customized training and content curriculums

  • Coordinates and oversees training programs such as new hire orientation, on-the-job training, health and safety practices, and management development, changes in policies, and procedures and technologies.

  • Facilitates plant-specific training programs for associates at all levels.

  • Develops training and performance metrics of training programs.

  • Evaluates effectiveness of training, learning retention, and transfer of knowledge

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • 4+ years of formal training experience required

  • Knowledge of training/learning methods, theories, and applications

  • Working knowledge of Google applications and Microsoft Office

  • Ability to frequently work different shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd)

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time


  • Master’s degree in the area of Adult Learning, Education, Organizational Development, I/O Psychology

  • 2+ years experience managing a team

  • Experience within supply chain environment


Work Shift

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
