Position Overview

An HCM Analyst – Workday within HR Technology (HRT) provides technical and functional services for human resources customers to support the main human capital management (Workday HCM) and other ancillary HR systems used at Shaw.

Position Summary

The person holding this position is responsible for analyzing business requirements, procedures, and problems to improve and automate our processes using Workday and other connected systems. They are directly responsible for forming and maintaining professional relationships with their business partners as well as their teammates across Information Services.  They will participate in the development and support of business applications that enable Shaw's business units to conduct their operations in the most efficient and low-cost method. The supported systems are crucial to the business areas in their efforts to provide Shaw's customers the best possible service and help enable Shaw's management in making their operations as efficient and profitable as possible.    

Location

This position will be located at Shaw’s headquarters in Dalton, GA, and is eligible for remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with our business partners and other members of the HR Technology team

  • Coach and mentor other analysts on the HR Technology team

  • Present new features, recommended changes, and other configuration plans to all levels of business partner. Influence business partners to uptake Workday features.

  • Document requirements, test cases, and communicate with our business partners for approval

  • Diagnose problems and provide solutions and alternatives.

  • Work independently with varying and multiple high priorities.

  • Occasional travel to Georgia might be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, HR, business administration, computer science, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 2 – 4 years utilizing Workday HCM including recruiting, learning, business process framework and security configurations.

  • Workday payroll experience is a plus.

  • Broad knowledge in Human Resources and Payroll areas.

  • Ability to research, diagnose problems, and find strong solutions in support of HR Technology’s initiatives such as automation, process improvement and error reduction.

  • Strong writing and communication skills.

  • Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive data that is privileged to a member of the HR Technology team.

  • Business Analyst experience in gathering and documenting requirements, presenting solutions to business teams and communicating agreed upon solutions to development teams.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
