Account Manager - Shaw Hospitality in DC, MD and NOVA

The specific responsibilities of our Hospitality Account Managers include daily sales calls on existing customers in Maryland, Washington DC and Northern Virginia. Strong presentation skills and a background in Hospitality design are preferred as you will be presenting products to designers, end users and other companies that impact flooring specifications in this segment. New end use business development skills are preferred, and a person in this position must continually prospect for new accounts while developing a key awareness of current trends and projects in the assigned geography.
Hospitality strategic account sales.
Follow established plans for execution of strategic direction, channel management, sales deployment and training for all product categories and related design services.
Provide leadership and lateral influence throughout Shaw Industries related to hospitality selling, marketing, and administration activities.
Maintain and support existing relationships developed by Shaw Industries for all major hospitality contracts/agreements and other trade related activities.
Establish strategic account plan in the Hospitality business segment for Washington DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia.
Expand sales with existing Global Accounts in Hospitality segment.
Track and communicate all other end user involvement in addition to formalized targets and registered Global Accounts in the Hospitality segment.
Review associated targets and progress quarterly with Mid Atlantic Region Sales VP (RVP).
Expand relationships, communication and engagement with RVPs and other Hospitality sales people across both brands. Effectively utilize the sales organization as multipliers and implement teaming approach as necessary.
Work closely with brand marketing and segment directors to obtain products and marketing for accounts in this segment.
Research and understand local market share and main competitors in the Hospitality segment.
Research and network in related trade associations and events.
Track all customer activity including, customer names, contacts, and projects in our Salesforce.com database.

Three or more years of Hospitality industry experience in design or sales.
History of working with strategic end use accounts in the Hospitality Segment.
Must be able to work with other sales people across the US in a team environment to secure business when necessary.
Strong communication, organization & computer skills.
High school Diploma/GED or Bachelor’s Degree.
