Linehaul Team Driver - $20,000 New Hire Bonus
Our average Linehaul team makes over $160,000 (per truck) per year.- Our average Linehaul driver makes over $80,000 per year.
Weekly Home Time.
We have Team Bid and Extraboard runs.
- $20,000 Experienced Team New Hire Bonus (Paid in quarterly installments of $2,500 to EACH DRIVER over the first 24 months of employment).
We have a Safety Incentive that is paid out twice per year.
We have a Downtime Policy (including Breakdown, Weather, and Traffic).
We pay Per Diem for expenses in addition to our per mile pay.
Provide the transportation function of transporting any product (raw or finished) to Shaw plants, facilities, or customers in a safe and timely manner.
Operate a tractor-trailer with a valid commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL).
Must complete a “Drivers Daily Checklist” at the beginning of the shift noting any mechanical defects of the assigned tractor.
Possess the skills and knowledge to safely operate the assigned tractor.
Know facility locations and designated routes.
Learn and follow all procedures at each Plant/facility: location to drop and pick up loads, location to drop and pick up bills, COD and return procedures, etc.
Obey all traffic laws and restrictions.
Must maintain a satisfactory attendance and safety record in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Perform any other duties as may be necessary to aid in maintaining a safe and efficient operation.
Responsible for refueling the tractor.
Maintain and turn in all paperwork in the correct order at end of trip.
Operate winch to assist in unloading carpet.
Operate Lift Truck as needed in customer locations to unload carpet
Must be able to manually shift transmission gears and steer the vehicle simultaneously.
Must be able to lift weights of 50+lbs. involved with movement of supplies that a driver is to load or unload.
Must be able to climb in and out of tractor without difficulty.
Must be able to pass a physical examination, to include a drug and alcohol screen, prior to employment and throughout employment.
Must be able to pass depth perception requirements as defined by Company standards.
Must be able to raise/lower the sand feet and chock the tires.
Must be able to pull kingpin.
Must be able to kneel, bend, and have good flexibility when inspecting or unloading.
Must be able to sit the entirety of the shift.
Must be able to meet DOT Physical requirements.
Must consent to be subject to random and post-accident testing as described in Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
Must be able to read and write.
Must have a satisfactory driving record for past three (3) years.
Must report any traffic citation or accident immediately to dispatch.
Must have a Class A CDL.
Must maintain good customer/employee/employer relations.
Able to operate calculator and save voice mail system.
Attendance is essential function of the job. Must comply with Corporate Absenteeism and Tardiness Policy.
