Position Overview
Spectra is a large national commercial flooring contractor. We have numerous pending contracts in the Nashville area. Projects are Hospitality and Multi Family / Mixed use. We are seeking experienced Field Supts. to aid in onsite project management which includes Safety, Manpower, Logistics (materials management) and Quality Control. Prior construction experience is required. Experience or knowledge of the flooring industry is a plus. OSHA 30, CPR certification and Lull / Lift operation certification is desired.
Timeline is for six to nine months in 2021.

Spectra Contract Flooring is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team in Norcross, Georgia.
Position Overview - Field Supervisor
To field inspect job sites prior to installation in order to address any concerns that need to be resolved before the start of job and see the job through to completion.
Essential Duties:
Inspect substrates for the acceptability of flooring (i.e moisture testing, alkaline testing…)
Inspection of flooring that may presently be installed to determine the compatibility with new flooring
Must be able to determine if old residue is compatible with new flooring.
Inspect for defects in the substrate of walls which may affect the quality of installation
Check for proper climate control and lights.
Check accessibility of job site, elevator, parking, and loading dock.
Arrange storage area for materials that are delivered to job site
Visiting job site during installation to head off problems before they arise
Keep in touch with job contacts to address their concerns immediately
Resolve any installation problems that may occur during the length of the job
Advise of safety requirements on each job site
Resolve any differences between installers and job contacts
Inspect defective material on job site
Communicate job needs to Installation Managers
Teach Installers on Job site (i.e. new product or techniques)
Deliver material/sundries to job site in order to expedite completion
Post inspect jobs when required
Inspect job deficiencies and determine their legitimacy
Submit written inspection reports on all jobs where required
Measuring areas at job sites
Picking up plans
Ordering material when the job is short
Coordinating deliveries with buyers
Writing reports to job site contacts
Fill in for Installation Managers when they are absent
Assistant management when negotiating settlements with customers

Requirements:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
OSHA 10 Training Certification or ability to obtain certification
Demonstrated knowledge of the products in the floor covering industry
Demonstrated ability to possess excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated ability of mathematics, specifically fractions, measurements, and reading a ruler.
Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written reports and documentation
Demonstrated ability to visually recognize conformance and nonconformance of flooring products
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
Potential to learn of all pertinent Winbid modules
