Warehouse Coordinator | Spectra Contract Flooring | Birmingham, AL
Coordinate the orderly flow of materials in and out of the warehouse. This includes the receiving and shipping of materials, the loading of the installer’s supplies, and deliveries.
Accurate control of all materials entering and exiting the warehouse.
Oversee all warehouse workers to ensure work orders are sent out properly, and shipments entered in the computer where applicable.
Coordinate all deliveries to customers or job sites.
Ensure all safety requirements are met and proper clearances arranged ahead of time.
Properly and efficiently notify salespersons and coordinators of receipt of material in a timely fashion.
Call attention to any errors of materials received
Maintain proper control of all supplies stocked in the warehouse and order as necessary.
Keep warehouse neat and orderly at all times.
Update sample board of all in stock carpet and carpet tiles.
Ensure that only authorized people are in the warehouse.
Present oneself as knowledgeable professional to the internal and external customer.
Maintain company vehicles.
Measure and mark all remnants..
Keep accurate records of gas purchases, dumpster pick ups, and tool check outs.
Ensure proper maintenance of tow-motors and pallet jacks.
Unload outside vendor trucks when needed.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Must have knowledge of all OSHA regulations pertinent to all work performed
Demonstrated knowledge of the products in the floor covering industry
Demonstrated knowledge of the operation of a warehouse
Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written reports and documentation
Demonstrated ability to visually recognize conformance and nonconformance of flooring products
Potential to learn of all pertinent Winbid modules
8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
