Plant Engineer (Maintenance and Reliability Engineering Manager)
Position Overview
Shaw Industries is looking for a Plant Engineer (also known as the Reliability Engineering & Maintenance Manager) to oversee the facility's Engineering and Maintenance Departments.

Responsibilities:
Manage Site Reliability efforts, including Reliability Engineers & Supervisors
Lead in troubleshooting Polymer and Plant Energy mechanical issues.
Manage work order system and documentation system for the Maintenance Department.
Complete capital and expense projects as assigned by Plant Manager
Develop and maintain Preventive Maintenance (PM) records for operating areas. Manages the scheduling of the PM’s with the operating area leadership.
Lead effort to document TPM metrics.
Work with the Maintenance Planner and Supervisors to ensure the Maintenance Department is following the TPM process.
Manages the process of keeping an adequate supply of critical spare parts in Maintenance Shops.
Lead effort to organize and maintain the Engineering drawings.
Identify alternate sources of material to reduce costs
Purchase parts & coordinate repairs as required for specific jobs through MSI and outside sources.
Initiate outside service purchase requisitions and coordinate execution with contractors for such items as component repairs, on-site maintenance, equipment cleaning, etc.
Safety:
Ensure safety and departmental policies and procedures are followed.
Support reward and recognition program based on criteria related to safety, quality and productivity.
Communicate & document any information concerning disciplinary action pertaining to safety violations.
Investigate and provide specialized equipment to improve safety, quality, and reliability.
Additional Responsibilities:
Attend weekly scheduling meetings in each operating area.
Serve on quality, safety, and Maintenance teams as required.
Assist in training efforts of area personnel through procedure writing/modifications, conducting sessions, bringing in outside resources, purchasing training materials and equipment, etc.
Demonstrate basic understanding and application of engineering theory
Observe facilities and make technical recommendations
Work closely with plant/divisional management and plant maintenance personnel
Support Utilities operations at plant and help maintain equipment to include air compressors, chillers, firewater system, and boilers.

Qualifications:
4-year degree required, Engineering degree preferred
(Prefer) 5 years experience in a project engineering or maintenance leadership role
Previous experience with TPM (Total Productive Manufacturing), AutoCAD, and certified project management training will be a plus
