Job Title

Senior Project Engineer

Position Overview

This position will report directly to the plant manager and be responsible for the coordination of all phases of upcoming expansions.


  • Focus on the project, relieving production personnel to focus on keeping the plantn running.

  • Transfer of knowledge from other facilities with similar equipment.

  • Understand timelines and ensure we are compliant to them.

  • Communication and coordination of installation and start-up activities.

  • Walk the job daily to ensure compliance to agreed upon project specs.

  • Escalate potential misses to make adjustments, helping prevent the timeline from slipping.

  • Uncover schedule conflicts and coordinate resolution.

  • Coordinate staffing and training timelines in support of the project.

  • Development and implementation of appropriate standard work.

  • Build in reliability activities to prolong life and drive performance.

  • Coordinate qualification of the process and products on the new equipment.

  • Assist in equipment start up.

  • Comply with all environmental procedures and programs.

  • Contractor safety program compliance.

  • Update plant drawings in AutoCad as needed.

  • Input on design for tools, equipment, modifications and upgrades.

  • Generate MOC (management of Change) documents from project work.

  • Certified Project Manager (CPM)

  • Help manage our end of the capital project, regular updates.

  • Work with contractors, and corporate engineering on all phases of project work.

  • Coordinate activity between plant engineering / maintenance resources, corporate resources and contractors.

  • Create work requests for plant maintenance and other departments to address issues and opportunities.

  • Four-year degree, Technical Degree preferred

  • 1+ years project management experience.

  • 2+ years of engineering experience.
